又是一年报税时，

Erin 快乐地向我通报了??? 的 TAX RETURN. 我们也开始各自对这笔飞来之财做出规划。。。

 

美国的个人收入税是按年收入算得。通常是每张pay check都扣一些，年底算总账，多退少补。

我们家的Finace Controller在税务普及讲座中告诉我，我们可以每月多扣一点税，年底拿TAX RETURN；也可以每月少扣一点，年底补交。很多美国人都是选择拿TAX RETURN, 因为拿钱总比付钱好。当时我尖锐地指出，只有不会算数的美国人才会做这种朝三暮四的事情。当然是补交好了，先用后还，不要交利息。拿TAX RETURN 说明自己的钱白白地被政府占用了。

由于我懒得去Accounting改每月扣税额，我们家也就这样过起了拿TAX RETURN的日子。

年复一年，每年年底，我们也开始快乐地憧憬TAX RETURN,快乐地朝三暮四...

也许这就是零存整取的乐趣？ 

 

As I said before, EE295-Technical Writing may be my last writing class in my life. And I got the only A- among all the writing classes till now. Also, I spent least time on this class among the all the writing classes.

 

There are some helpful hints:

 

1. Attitude is everything. Teachers of writing classes give grade based on impression. They give A to the 20%  remembered for good attitude. On the other side, they give C or D to the 20% be remembered for bad attitude. Unfortuanately, I was always on the 20% with bad attitude before.

 

2. You should be very happy for a lot of assignments. We have 40 students in one classes. Every student will submit 5 papers, totally 15 pages. How can the professor finish reading 600 pages carefully in one or two week?  If he would like to work that hard, he wouldn't be a professor.  So he just reads the first paragraph for each paper.

 

3. Format contributes 70% of your grade. A clean paper is always welcome when the professor has only 5 minutes for each paper. PC is a great tool to cover my poor handwriting.

 

4. Don't worry, everyone has the same headache. Just finish it, that's good enough.

我说的mouse, 不是鼠标, 是一只真的老鼠.

烧菜的时候, 到橱里拿锅, 突然一只老鼠蹿到了下一格. 关好橱门, 我想了一想, 本来可以抓住它的, 就是觉得很恶心, 不敢抓. 戴上橡胶手套以后, 我开了橱们, 开始赶老鼠. 它还满沉的住气的, 就是不暴露位置. 我只有伸手一点一点的搜了. 在我手已经伸直, 很不容易一下拿出来的时候, 它开始突围了. 应该说它选的时机相当好, 所以被它成功的冲出橱门...

但是, 但是速度还是决定性的, 所以我可以在一米开外把它死死的按住. 凭着满腔的仇恨, 我按了好几下,想摁死它, 这只老鼠一声不响, 眼望前方, 随时准备逃脱. 僵持了一会, 我生怕一不留神, 被它走脱, 所以下了决心.

 

杀它的过程非常血腥, 不宜公开发表.....

简而言之, 我用榔头解决了它.    

 

总结:

 

1. SONIC 很有用. 三天前, 我拔下来, 忘了插回去. 老鼠就又出来了.

2. 老鼠一点也不可怕(恶心). 只是一只普通的小动物. take it easy.

3. 技战术虽然很重要, 但是要有身体素质做保障. 这只老鼠非常老练, 可惜绝对速度不够, 关键时刻想拼也拼不出来.

Finally, I finished 4 chapter summaries, 2 product descriptions, 1 project report, 1 project proposal in last week. That's all the assignments for EE295.

 

Professor told us that this may be the last Englist class before we go to work. Actually, it may also be my last writing class.

 

I can say good bye to writing NOW ! I have been waiting this day since grade 3rd in school, my first writing class. Hundreds of times, I was counting the words on the paper every 5 minutes, just to meet the minimun words requirement.  

 

But, suddenly I found writing is no longer a problem for me after last crazy week! God doesn't send it away from me until I can handle it...
